About Us

How we started....

As a young girl my family was involved with showing and breeding horses.  We spent many a weekend travelling to the different shows and I always admired the dog show circuit from afar.

In 1990 I bought my first Cocker Spaniel...a gold girl called Bluesand Chardonnay.  'Shara' got me hooked with the showing bug with the few small wins that she had even though looking back she was not the best quality.   I then purchased my next Cocker Spaniel, a black girl who would be my first Champion 'Ch Macdolly Looks Could Kill' (Jessie).  Jessie was not a great producer and after a number of disastrous births she finally produced our first home bred Champion, sired by Ch Bifield Soldon Style...Ch Tarrendayle Like My Style (Leeroy).  The next I was to own was a gold dog called Ch Macdolly Like A Prayer (Oskar)  A sweet gold dog who lived with us and was owned in partnership with Macdolly Kennels and then later due to unforseen circumstances out of our control was placed with the late Hazel Meara (Hazmar).  I had successfully shown a number of solid Cockers during this time.

In 1996 I had my first parti colour Cocker sent to me from Glenayden Kennels, an orange roan bitch who is the foundation of the many of the parti colour Cockers I have today.  Ch Glenayden Tickled Pink (Becky) is one of the sweetest Cockers I have ever had the pleasure of owning.  The most beautiful soft, sweet nature and she will always hold a very special place in my heart.  She was the mother of my home bred boy multi BIS/BISS 'Champion Tarrendayle Tickle Me Erni' (Ziggy) who was awarded Queensland's Cocker of the Year 2001, a Multi All Breeds Best in Show and Specialty Best in Show winner and was my pride and joy.  Along the way I was grateful to Debbie Richter who leased to me Ch Joyric Yule Remember Me, a blue dog and Ch Joyric Will Of The Wind 'Breeze' another sweet blue roan girl who just wanted to please.

We also retained a Ziggy daughter, Ch Cobalt Ginger Spice from Sue Bruno (Cobalt) who went on to produce a lovely Black & White dog  Tarrendayle Total Kaos and he was awarded Queensland's Cocker Puppy of the Year 2002.

Whilst enjoying my time with Parti Colours I then showed a blue roan girl  Ch Glenayden Centrefold iid.(Lexy) who was titled at an early age.   To continue our success we were  given a lovely Orange Roan girl BIS/BISS Ch Wynmoore Melting Pot (Mandy) from Julie Phipps (Wynmoore) who to our knowledge was the first Cocker Spaniel Optigen Tested A1 clear prcd in Australia.  Mandy was awarded Queensland's Cocker of the Year in 2000 and 2002 and went on to produce a number of young successfuls for us, such as Ch Tarrendayle Moment N Time, Ch Tarrendayle Meltin Moment.  Mandy was then given on loan to Ann O'Keefe (Glenayden) to produce our own Grand Ch Glenayden Melt Down who was awarded Queensland's Cocker Puppy of the Year 2004 .  We enjoyed many wins with this dog including Multi All Breeds Best in Shows and Specialty Best in Show.   Sadly Mandy was never to return to us.

Wanting to go back to my solids we purchased our sweet black girl Jazz (Ch Ryangaye Rythym N Jazz) who was awarded Queensland's Cocker Puppy of the Year 2003.  Due to unforseen circumstances tragic circumstances took Jazz on to Rainbow Bridge way before her time.  We are Thankful that Jazz was able to produce for us our lovely girl Delta (Ch Tarrendayle From The Heart) sired by our special boy Ziggy.  Delta was yet another success story and was awarded Queensland's Cocker Puppy of the Year 2005...making this 4 years in a row before leaving the State of Queensland for our move to New South Wales, quite an achievement for our small kennel of which we are very proud.

We have now imported a number of Cockers boasting of some of the top UK and USA bloodlines..and with these lovely imports we are excited about our future.

Our list of successes goes on with both parti colours and solids...no doubt the list will continue to go on and we invite you to continue to watch our journey...things can only get better...

We are very proud of the dogs in our kennels and our success in the show ring. If you have any enquires regarding our Cockers and any up and coming litters, please contact us, we are more than happy to help. At Tarrendayle, we do not breed for the sake of breeding, but breed for the betterment of the breed.

After many years in Queensland we said some sad Goodbyes and moved to, New South Wales where we have enjoyed many more wins and won Runner Up Cocker of the Year in NSW with our lovely blue girl Ch Kokleone Koncerto in 2007, Cocker Puppy of the Year with Ch Westlake War Oth Roses 2008 and Opp Sex Puppy of the Year with Tarrendayle The Dark Knight 2009.
We now enjoy country life on the outskirts of Goulburn NSW and are enjoying living on our 31 acres of land with our dogs and our range of farm animals.

I am now extending further into this wonderful hobby,  and have obtained my licence to judge all Gundogs, Non-Sporting and Toys Breeds at Championship level and have enjoyed judging throughout Australia and Internationally.
